The Singing News Fan Awards were started in 1970 by the Singing News Magazine. The awards are voted on by the subscribers of the Singings News magazine and are then voted again based on top ten and top five. Awards are announced at the National Quartet Convention. Some awards have changed names throughout the years or have been discontinued for a period of time.
