The Perrys History

The Perrys formed as a family trio from Georgia in 1970. The original group consisted of siblings Debra, Libbi and Randy Perry. A fourth sibling, George, began performing with the group but passed away as a young child.

The Perrys remained a trio until 1984 when they added Mitch Sims on bass vocals. In 1985 Mitch left the group and Tracy Stuffle became bass vocalist. Tracy and Libbi married in 1987.

The next change in the line up came as Denise Helton joined the group in the Soprano role in 1988. In 1993 Nicole Watts Jenkins began traveling with the Perry as soprano and remained with the group until 2000.

The soprano role was removed in 200o and baritone Curt Davis joined the group. Since this time the Perrys have traveled with a lead, baritone, bass and alto vocalist.

Tracy Stuffle Memorial

Tracy Stuffle was born Mar. 20, 1966                                              in Morristown, TN. Tracy is most                                                      well known as the bass vocalist for                                                    The Perrys. Tracy joined the Perrys as                                              bass vocalist on Oct. 30, 1985. Tracy                                                met his wife Libbi Perry and spent                                                    the next three decades traveling the                                                 nation and singing gospel music.

In 2013 Tracy suffered a stroke and had lasting deficits as a result. Tracy's love of gospel music remained intact. When possible Tracy continued to travel with the Perrys until Feb. 4 2018 when he passed from his earthly home to his eternal home.
